Notice of 2025 Annual General Meeting

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) of the Sydney Mechanics’ School of Arts will be held in the Henry Carmichael Theatre, Level 1, 280 Pitt Street, Sydney on Tuesday 11 March 2025, commencing at 12:30pm.

Business of the Meeting

  1. To elect three (3) Directors.
  2. To receive the Annual Report and Audited Accounts for the year ending 31 December 2024.
  3. Confirmation of the Minutes of the previous AGM held on 12 March 2024.
  4. Appointment of Auditors for the 2025 financial accounting period.

Members desiring to bring any business before the Annual General Meeting must give notice in writing of that business to the Chief Executive Officer by the close of business, Monday 24 February. The notice must be signed by not less than three members qualified to vote.

Nominations for the election of the three (3) directors will open on Monday 24 February 2025 at 12:30pm and close on Friday 28 February 2025 at 5:00pm.

Nomination forms will be available from the SMSA Library, on the SMSA website (smsa.org.au) or on request from the Chief Executive Officer.

Notices and nominations must be lodged with the CEO at Level 3, 280 Pitt Street, Sydney NSW 2000 in person or by post; or by email to ceo@smsa.org.au

In accordance with the By-laws, polling will commence on Tuesday 4 March 2025 at 12:00pm and will close on Tuesday 11 March 2025 at 12:45pm, being 15 minutes after the scheduled commencement time of the AGM.
