About The Film
A fever dream of speedboats, stubble, and existential ennui, Miami Vice is Michael Mann at his most poetic and pared back, blurring the line between genre and art.
Colin Farrell and Jamie Foxx slip into the shadows as undercover operatives in a digital noir soaked in blues and betrayal. Beneath the sleek surface lies a film obsessed with identity, loyalty, and the price of living a double life.
Come for the shootouts, stay for the lively discussion.
About Mechanics’ Cinema
Mechanics’ Cinema is a film club in the spirit of Berlin’s arthouse salons — intimate, intelligent, and a little bit rebellious.
Presented by a chorus of filmmakers and thinkers of cinema, reflecting together on the enduring significance of the art form, on cinema’s historical and contemporary conditions, and on a series of remarkable films. Each film in the program has been selected by a different member of the collective, who will present for 10 minutes prior to the screening.
The night ends in casual and lively conversation between presenters, attendees, and guest interlocutors.
