Book Reviews

The Port Fairy Murders by Robert Gott

This well written mystery is set in Port Fairy a small costal town in country Victoria, where nothing ever happens… However two distinct crimes are fermenting, as two officers — one frail and the other maligned but absolutely capable — are doing their best against evil and twisted malevolent characters.

Within the plot of this horrific, but intriguing tale, there is cruelty and violence and, although we usually wish that good will triumph over evil, there are certain unresolved elements in the conclusion which ring absolutely true with real life scenarios.

This is a page turner: I would have kept on reading this book if it was three times as long.

Would I read Gott again? In a heartbeat , absolutely recommended.
