When you renew as an SMSA Member, you continue to receive uninterrupted access to all your membership benefits including borrowing from our Library and our wide range of online resources, as well as attendance at Member Groups and special events.

Your SMSA membership runs on a calendar year: 1 January – 31 December – no matter when you join.
Your membership must be renewed by 31 December of each year, as your membership card will become inactive and you won’t be able to access all your membership benefits or enter the library at all.
Renewals are open from 1 October – 31 December each year. Feel free to renew online! Once you do, your new swipe card will be ready to collect on your next visit.
To be eligible to vote at our Annual General Meeting, please remember to renew your membership by 31 December.

2026 Standard Membership
1 year $50 | 2 years $100 | 3 years $150
Annual subscription provides access to all member benefits.
2026 Concession, Seniors & Students
1 year $40 | 2 years $80 | 3 years $120
This discounted membership is available to holders of a Seniors Card or Pension concession card, and includes full voting rights at our Annual General Meeting.
Student members receive all the same great benefits with the note that they are not eligible to vote in the AGM.
