Louisa Lawson was a notable historical member of the SMSA. A champion for women’s rights, Louisa was the first woman admitted to the SMSA Debating Club in 1891 and the first female on the SMSA committee, elected in 1893.
The Louisa Lawson statue is a public statue located in the heart of Mudgee, NSW , all are welcome to visit and see the impressive statue for themselves.
