The Murder Wall by Mari Hannah

DCI Kate Daniels is still brooding over an unsolved murder when she is called in to another. As the blue-eyed gal of Detective Superintendant Bright, he decides she will be the acting Senior Investigating Officer, a first for her. Kate is not your usual protagonist. Her ambition is such that she does not inform Bright of matters which would see her taken off the case. The usual tension surrounding a murder investigations is heightened by these non-disclosures which are of such significance they threaten her career. Her professionalism and idealism is appreciated by all ranks. The Murder Wall by Mari Hannah is a taut crime story, beautifully crafted. I found it difficult to put down.
