There is power in conversations, particularly when it comes to the topic of mental health and wellbeing.

Join us at SMSA during Mental Health Week as we introduce Amlan Sharma from Beyond Blue who will be sharing his family’s journey and will address the mental health challenges we face in our ever-changing society.

About Amlan Sharma

Amlan is an experienced Occupational Therapist and Area Manager in the NDIS sector, and will be bringing a unique perspective shaped by his professional expertise and personal journey. From early intervention strategies to supporting those with chronic conditions, Amlan’s 13-year career spans healthcare, corporate wellness, and disability advocacy.

In this compelling talk, Amlan will share his family’s experiences with mental health diagnoses and his own battle with workplace burnout. As a Beyond Blue speaker, he offers hope and practical insights for individuals, families, and friends affected by mental health conditions.

This is an opportunity to gain valuable knowledge, challenge stigmas, and learn how to support mental wellbeing in your community. Whether you’re a healthcare professional, caregiver, or simply interested in personal growth, this talk will equip you with tools to make a difference.

If you are feeling impacted, please reach out to the Beyond Blue support service, or Lifeline on 13 11 14 for support.
