About the film:

Driving Miss Daisy is a 1989 American comedy-drama film directed by Bruce Beresford. The film stars Jessica Tandy, Morgan Freeman and Dan Aykroyd.


Driving Miss Daisy is set in Atlanta, Georgia. Spanning a quarter of a century, from 1948 to 1973, the action takes place before, during, and after the civil rights movement. The plot centers on two characters, an elderly Jewish widow named Miss Daisy Werthan and her African American driver, Hoke Colburn and their blossoming friendship over the years. Film Introduction and Closing Remarks:

Director Bruce Beresford will introduce the film. Followed by Closing Remarks and a Q & A at the end. This event will be held in person at the Henry Carmichael Theatre, Level 1, 280 Pitt Street Sydney.
